The proliferation of online job boards and ease of submitting applications online, coupled with the ubiquitous expansion of the applicant funnel to increase Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), and rise in unemployment has increased the volume of applicants for many job openings to unmanageable levels.

Many companies see anywhere from 100 – 1,000 applicants applying for a single job vacancy but still follow the traditional process for screening applicants by matching resumes to job descriptions.

This resume-based screening approach can create enormous amounts of non-productive time, legal vulnerability, increase in costs, tension with hiring managers, and produce poor outcomes such as making regretful and expensive hires and missing top talent.

SmartRank’s approach to screening completely replaces the job description and resume with a truly objective and inclusive ranking system. By removing the resume, SmartRank effectively removes the unconscious bias that is typically generated by it. Keith is a chronic problem solver with over 20 years of sales, operations, and leadership experience with multiple startups, mid-sized companies, and Global 500 organizations.  Keith has been a hiring manager for over 18 years and is inspired to bridge the gap between talent acquisition and hiring manager teams once and for all.  Keith has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

Ed Posnak

CTO

Ed has over 30 years of experience in various aspects of software production, systems design, development, product design, mentoring, and business development. Ed is an entrepreneur who founded his first software company in 1994 and has been running software companies ever since.  Ed has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Florida and a M.A. in Computer Science from the University of Texas.

Jeanne Moncada

Office Administration / Customer Success

Jeanne has over 20 years experience providing an amazing customer experience. She has worked in a variety of industries including travel, patient advocacy, higher education advising and providing employment services for individuals with disabilities. She has a BA in Business Administration, MA in Education and MA in Organizational Leadership. Making you successful is her number one priority.

Micah Roehr

Project Manager

With over 15 years of experience, Micah specializes in software and technical implementations and integrations and customer strategic planning. Micah spent over a decade as an engineer and uses that critical thinking capability to collaborate with customers and multiple business units to achieve success on every project. She brings creativity, solutions and high energy to the tasks at hand. Micah has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Daniel Mendel

Senior Product Manager

Daniel has over 10 years of product management and software implementation experience with multiple software companies of varying sizes across several industries and functions. He is all in on using technology to solve the most complex business problems and always looks to extract maximum value for his clients. Daniel has a B.S. in Physics from Georgia Tech.

Meg Murphy

Director of Sales

Meg is a Colorado native who has been in full cycle sales for her entire career. She has experience working in both B2C and B2B and is a passionate student of sales. She has a bachelor’s in biology from Kenyon College and loves sports, dogs and being a mom to her toddler.

Alfie La Peter

Principal Software Developer

Alfie is a wizard when it comes to building products. He has over 10 years of software development experience and over 6 years leading software development teams. Throughout his career, Alfie has built many successful products that have ultimately been acquired including one product that IPO’d in 2021 and now has almost a $3B valuation.
